"The student is half afraid to meet one of the great philosophers face to face. He feels himself inadequate and
thinks he will not understand him. But if he only knew, the great man, just because of his greatness, is much more
intelligible than his modern commentator. The simplest student will be able to understand, if not all, yet a very
great deal of what Plato said; but hardly anyone can understand some modern books on Platonism."
- C.S. Lewis, On the Reading of Old Books
APOLOGIES FOR RECENT SITE FORMAT PROBLEMS
I recently finally got around to updating to the latest Internet Explorer version, and noticed that the site was ... well, "not optimally formatted",
to put it delicately. Apparently I had been using obsolete HTML that displayed fine in my old IE 8, but not in the new IE 10 or in Firefox 19.0.2.
Hopefully the problems are now fixed. If you run across any issues, please send me an email and let me know.
